Ellen In Medicaland is about my wild and crazy experiences at a Harvard-teaching hospital. In 2017, I performed my one-woman show, Just What The Doctor Ordered, based on Ellen In Medicaland, at the Osterville Library in Osterville on Cape Cod. I plan to perform it in many more venues. If you would like me to perform it for your group, contact me at [email protected]. You may also watch this show on youtube under Just What The Doctor Ordered.

As you can see, I am very concerned about our health system and have been very active in its reform since 1994. From 1995 to 2015, I was the host and producer of the public access television series, Your Health Care:Choice or Chance?, which aired throughout Massachusetts and which taught the public how to navigate the health system.

So popular was this series that many notables were guests, e.g., Governor Michael Dukakis; Former Mass. First Lady, Kitty Dukakis; Prof. Stuart Altman of Brandeis; the late Dr. Arnold Relman, Editor of the New England Journal of Medicine; former congressman, Michael Capuano, and many more.

Your Health Care:Choice or Chance? was also a call-in program at the award-winning radio station, WATD, in Marshfield, MA, from 2006-2008, again with many notables as guests.

I am now in the second season of my podcast, Movin' And Groovin' With Ellen, produced at Burlington Cable Access (BCAT) TV in Burlington, MA. My guests on this 30-minute podcast include Robert Parris, sports reporter at BCAT; Dr. Matthew Bogyo, Professor of Pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine and leader of the Bogyo Lab; Deborah Kagan, Mojo Recovery Specialist, as well as speaker, author and mentor in L.A; Boston Globe columnist, Scott Lehigh; and Stafford Cohen, noted cardiologist, retired from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. and since his retirement, author of five books, including the medical murder mystery, We Live And Die By Electricity.
