Ellen Kobe

Indianapolis, Ind.

Ellen works at the Society of Professional Journalists, where she is responsible for finding and executing creative ways to tell the organization's story on social media and other digital platforms.

Ellen has professional experience reporting for publications such as Indianapolis Monthly, The Oregonian and the Indianapolis Business Journal. In the fall of 2011, she spent a semester working for the Internal Communications department at the United Nations World Food Program in Rome.

A recent graduate of DePauw University, Ellen served as editor-in-chief of Indiana’s oldest college newspaper, The DePauw. For three years, she was also a reporter and disc jockey for 91.5 WGRE, the No. 2 Ranked College Radio Station in America. She is also a member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity.

In her free time, Ellen enjoys learning how to run, practice yoga and cook. On Fall Sundays (as well as some Mondays and Thursdays), you'll find her sporting a Colts jersey.
