A licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), Ellen Ostroff holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Boston University and a master of science in clinical social work from Bryn Mawr College. Subsequently settling in Philadelphia, she served two years as an outpatient therapist at the Renfrew Center and six years as a day treatment coordinator at the Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment. For the last three years of her engagement with the Belmont Center, Ellen Ostroff, LCSW, operated her first private practice with a concentration on eating disorders in the Philadelphia suburb of Havertown.

Since 2008, Ellen Ostroff has operated a general private psychotherapy practice in Philadelphia, offering both individual and group therapy and helping clients with relationship issues, life transitions, and disorders that include anxiety and depression. Ms. Ostroff also continues to treat people with eating disorders. She holds active membership in the National Association of Social Workers and the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work.
