I am Eleanor Marrian or Ellie for short, I am currently in my second year studying for a FdSc in horticulture at Nottingham Trent University, School of Animal, Rural and Environmental sciences.

I came to study horticulture at Brackenhurst when I was 16 years old, I came straight from school to study a level 3 diploma in horticulture instead of A levels.

I have always had a love and passion for horticulture from being a very young child, both my parents are passionate gardeners and have always encouraged me and my younger brother to take an interest in the garden.

From being a young child I have always helped my father with tasks around the garden, whether it was raking the leaves up as a young child and then running through them, much to my dads dismay! or to now where I am helping to build sheds lay paths and patio and helping him set up his green house, however i do still rake the leaves up and run through them!
