Elliott Franklin currently serves as the Director of IT Security for Whataburger Restaurants. His team is responsible for IT Risk Management, Incident Response, Security Policies and Awareness as well as Security Architecture.
Franklin has worked in the IT industry for 16 years with 10 of those focusing on Information Security. During this time he has held positions within the Financial Services, Higher Education and Healthcare sectors under HIPAA, SOX and PCI DSS regulations.
Franklin also serves on the Alamo Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) board of directors and is passionate about teaching parents and children about staying safe online and avoiding cyber bullies.
Franklin holds a BBA in Management as well as the CISSP and CISM certifications.
