Elliott Garber

I'm a veterinarian, public health practitioner, Army officer, and writer.
I love exploring the interface between animal, human, and environmental health. Some of our world's most pressing conflicts and problems hang out at these intersections, and I'm excited to be able to contribute by investigating solutions and telling stories about others who are gripped by the same passion.
I have graduate degrees in veterinary medicine, public health, and comparative biomedical science. I recently became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. My work has taken me from economic development projects in Bolivia to poultry disease vaccination campaigns in Mozambique, from molecular epidemiology of gastrointestinal parasites in India to marine mammal medicine in San Diego.
I'm on a quest to figure out what my own contributions will be, and I'm keen to learn from others who are also out there working as uncommon veterinarians around the world.
