I am a photo artist and educator from Nova Scotia, Canada. I moved to San Diego, California 13 years ago to find sunshine and opportunity. Photography has been a passion of mine since I was nine years old when I received my first camera. I have created and exhibited art in drawing, sculpture and painting but the main medium I work in is large format and digital photography. My current focus is on the relationship between faith and the landscape as I explore obscure places where worship is practiced. This body of work is dedicated to my late mother and father who in yin yang balance taught their children to “let heaven and nature sing” (King Solomon). My mother being a former Catholic nun remained focused on her children’s religious values and our father of first nations heritage taught us to love and praise nature.
