I'm an Oakland, CA based Freelance Journalist. My interests include culture, technology and the environment— I also have experience writing about food systems and trends.

I begin a masters program at the UC Berkeley School of Journalism in September, 2014, and am excited to expand my skills to include video and radio.

My mission is to have the integrity and grit of an old-school journalist, but with a 21st Century skill-set.
