Dr. Khalifa Elmusharaf is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at Graduate Entry Medical School at University of Limerick.

He is the Director of Reproductive & Child Health Research Unit ‘RCRU’ at UMSTUniversity in Sudan, and the National Coordinator of Geneva Foundation for Medical Education and Research 'GFMER'.

He worked as a Population and International Health coordinator and lecturer in epidemiology and public health medicine at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland RCSI Bahrain. He also worked in Dengue Fever Control Program in Saudi Arabia, Patient Safety Program WHO in Geneva, Connecting Health Research in Africa and Ireland Consortium ChRAIC in Ireland, and in Rebuilding Reproductive & Child Health System Initiative ‘ReReCHI’ in South Sudan.

Dr Elmusharaf is a medical doctor with an Obstetrics & Gynaecology background. He has higher degrees in Research Methodology, Biostatistics, Reproductive Health and Health System & Policy. His PhD in Health System & Policy at National University of Ireland Galway ‘NUIG’ focused on access and equity for maternal, newborn & child health in fragile states.

He is a certified consultant in Biostatistics, Quantitative and Innovative Qualitative Research, with experience in community based initiatives, Participatory Ethnographic Evaluation & Research, Community Readiness Assessment, and health system & policy research.
