Eleanor Lockwood
Eleanor Lockwood graduated with a degree in finance from Auburn University over 40 years ago. She has since developed an incredible expertise in the finance industry. She has served in a variety of positions over her long career. Her breadth of experience is almost unmatched by professionals in similar careers. Ultimately, Eleanor has diversified her focal knowledge of finance and accounting to multiple professional roles.
Eleanor Lockwood began working for the Colonial Mortgage Company in 1970. She continued and advanced her career thereafter by filling multiple positions around the company. Eventually, Eleanor became the VP Branch Manager for the company. She was responsible for a multitude of tasks and responsibilities, including underwriting and auditing. Her roles extended to various departments, calling her to address legal issues and to originate loans as well.
Having worked with Colonial Mortgage for almost 30 years, Eleanor Lockwood gained a versatile education in all aspects of the mortgage industry. When she left the company, Eleanor began working as an independent loan manager, auditor and trainer. Having developed her own business in Las Vegas, Eleanor Lockwood performed an array of tasks for clients in need of her expertise. Moreover, she never hesitated to impart her financial expertise in the world of academia.
Eleanor Lockwood has taught finance and accounting professionally in several educational institutions. She instructed finance courses at the Air War College of Montgomery, Alabama for 12 years, from 1980 to 1992. Her work guided military officers through careers in finance after their service. Additionally, Eleanor Lockwood taught continuing education courses throughout a number of facilities in the Montgomery area.
Besides her professional vocations in the expansive world of finance, Eleanor Lockwood is also a philanthropist. She has taught Sunday school at the Aldersgate Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Eleanor also opened a church thrift shop in Las Vegas to assist the Community Lutheran Church Prison Ministry. Needless to say, she has helped the fortunate and unfortunate through passionate charity work.
