Elsy Onoya Omoyi

Mrs. Elsy Omoyi Onoya was born in Kinshasa D.R.Congo on the 28 December 1987. She obtained her Matric certificate in 2005 and Honours degree in Communications : Marketing and Public Relations in 2010 at Catholic University of Congo, and worked as a Public Relations officer at Industry’s promotion fund’s PFI , Journalist Reporter for Congo web TV and Sales Representatives at Lejack Douceur.

She published a successful academic thesis based on Marketing in 2010: ‘’ The Impact of Marketing strategies in the sales of a bank product’s portfolio, case study International Bank for Africa in Congo, BIAC ‘’

Living in South Africa, Cape Town since 2011, where she follows the direction of her academic field; studied Brand Innovation in 2014 at Vega School Brand Leadership that enhances her passion for Marketing, and exposed her on opportunities in creativity and Project management.

She worked in the clients services for AGS Movers, where she handled Internet Clients inquiries, trainer of new employees and Assistant Manager.

Tailored in various aspect of communications field, Ms. Elsy Onoya worked with differents projects, related to Event Management in collaborations with Alliance Francaise of Cape Town and the Design Indaba.

One of the great Exhibition Event organized was ‘’ Presence Congolese Event June 2015 ’’ with the aim to promote Congolese’s artists who evolves in differents field of creativity. Managing the Marketing, sponsorship, logistic and on site side on the Event was rich experience and great moment of passion released.

The memorial Evening to Papa Wemba in May 2016 was another best achievement event, where she handled the all Marketing and Logistic side.

February 2016 and March 2017, Film Festival Manager for the Design Indaba Cape Town, Ms. Elsy grow her experience in working in the production, Directly be in charge of the cash sales at the door and managing the cash float ; Managing all ushers; interns at the event; giving the, each a t shirt, ensuring they are managing the crowd if they are lost of people, welcoming them and that they are helping to scan the tickets; Working closely with every guest speakers to organize the timing of the speech ; ensuring that the registration booth, light box and all branding is all set up correctly, Ensuring that the movies is shown at the right time , ensuring that the projectionist have all the movies of the program , ensuring that the movie is correctly shown until the end.
