Elton Jansen was born on the 22nd of December 1976 in Macassar, a small township in the City of Cape Town, South Africa.

He's is a sought after motivational speaker and Master of Ceremony at community festivals, concerts, corporate and private functions. He's a passionate singer, songwriter and actor.

Elton Jansen shared the stage with Mynie Grove, gospel singer Neville D., Josh Groban, Diana Ross and American Gospel Singer Fred Hammond to mention a few. He also played the lead role as Nelson Mandela in a South African/Norwegian musical called "Song of Freedom" which headlined in Oslo, Norway. He also played Desmond in a musical tribute to The Beatles entitled “All you need is love”. Elton is a regular on South African TV and has been a featured lead in numerous television commercials both local and international.

He is best known as De La Rey for playing the role as the singing beggar in Leon Schuster's movie "Schucks Tshabalala's Survival Guide to South Africa.

He was also invited to Oslo Norway perform in a tribute concert for Nelson Mandela and also to perform at the Oslo Jazz Festival in Norway in August 2014.
