I am a computer science professor with research and teaching interests in computer science education and assessment, artificial intelligence/robotics, human computer interaction, software engineering, e-learning, information/database systems, and data visualization. I earned the PhD in engineering and computer studies from North Carolina State University. My background includes higher education, summer faculty research fellowship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, served as a SACS evaluator, an ABET evaluator, an ABET commissioner, and served on many academic and professional boards. My passion is mentoring computing students to empower them to achieve in STEM fields. My goal is to add to the population of underrepresented groups in computing.
