Elvi Vithel Hingcayog

Student, Small Business Owner, and Realtor in Finland

My name is Elvi Vithel Hingcayog, a proud transwoman born in the Philippines and now living in Finland—a country I chose for its deep respect for nature, education, and human dignity. I moved here to pursue my studies in Hospitality Management at Lapland University of Applied Sciences, a journey that has shaped both my professional path and personal growth.

I’m a passionate storyteller at heart. I find joy in writing, photography, and travel—each of them offering me a way to connect with the world and express what words alone cannot always say. Through my lens and my pen, I capture the raw, quiet beauty of life: misty forests, golden hour light, chance encounters, and the emotions we often leave unspoken. Nature, especially, is my sanctuary—a place where I feel most at peace and most myself.

In my free time, I love going on hikes, taking long drives to nowhere in particular, singing, composing emotional songs, and watching the seasons change. I'm endlessly curious, always seeking new experiences and learning from different cultures.

As for my goals, I aim to build a meaningful career in hospitality where I can make people feel seen, valued, and welcome—no matter where they come from or who they are. I also dream of combining my creative passions with my professional life—perhaps one day creating a travel and lifestyle brand that highlights inclusive stories, nature’s beauty, and the power of authenticity.

More than anything, I want to live a life of purpose, kindness, and courage—standing not just for myself, but for others who are still finding their voice.
