Elysia Segal is a New York City based actress with a particular affinity for sci-fi and rock musicals. She also has an asteroid named after her. (WHAT?!)
She is a historical interpreter and teaching artist at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum and the New-York Historical Society, and a board member of the International Museum Theatre Alliance. She has written and performed as numerous historical characters and created a number of educational family shows on topics ranging from the 1870 Beach Pneumatic Transit System to an Epic Rap Battle about weather preparedness and sustainability!
No stranger to interactive science and history, Elysia has created for and performed extensively at the New York Transit Museum and Bronx/Central Park Zoos, played characters at Disney World and won first place at the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair. A graduate of NYU Tisch, she has additionally performed in numerous musicals, films and theatrical workshops and is a member of AAM, IMTAL, ALHFAM, DAR, Actors' Equity, SAG-AFTRA and the Dramatists Guild.
