Emeldah Precious is a clinical psychologist and gender expert with a rich background in Clinical psychology and Gender and Development. She has extensive experience in trauma, youth mental health, and therapeutic interventions for individuals and families. Emeldah excels in supporting marginalized and special groups, offering tailored mental health solutions for complex challenges. She has led mental health awareness initiatives, empowering over 1000 youths, and partnered with both local, national and international organizations to provide psychosocial support and trauma healing. With expertise in research, training, and program development, she is passionate about addressing mental health and gender issues within institutions, schools, and community groups, delivering impactful services that foster resilience and well-being. Additionally, she is a lived mental health experience champion and advocate for mental health having been diagnosed and lived with a mental health condition herself.

She holds a Masters Degree in Clinical psychology from United States International University and a Bachelor's in Gender and Development Studies from Kenyatta University.

Emeldah has worked with teams and organizations both locally and international to help develop sustainable solutions for mental health. Her Masters thesis research is on prevalence of Depression and Postraumatic stress disorder among women survivors of Gender Based Violence in Select Gender Based Rescue Organizations in Nairobi, Kenya. One of her most successful research consultancy is on cognitive behavioral therapy in partnerships with Oxford University, university of Michigan, University College of Los Angeles and Busara Global which is the largest research organization in Africa. She has also worked as a seasoned independent consultant with US based agency United States Institute of Peace (USIP) on trauma informed policing. Some organizations in Kenya she's worked with are: United States International University, Kenyatta trust foundation, Green string network, Basic Needs Basic Rights Kenya, love Africa international foundation, young African leaders initiative among others. She conducts individual and group therapy both virtually and face- face.
