Ruthie Valintec Agbayani

I'm a family and professional caregiver. I've been a caregiver since I was 10 years old. I care for infants, toddlers, children, elderly, and disabled adults. I'm currently self-employed as the Administrator and Primary Caregiver of Emerald Care LLC, a Community Care Foster Family Home, in Hawaii. I volunteer my time as Vice President for the United Caregivers of Hawaii, a non-profit organization advocating the support and needs of Hawaii's caregivers.

The most important thing to know about me is that everything I do is for the love of my family. I love my husband, "Elorde" Armand, and our daughter, Martina Lorie. And I love my immediate family members, as well as my extended family. I am generally friendly, kind, loving, thoughtful, and compassionate. But I can also be a feisty person if anyone or anything completely upsets me. I will fight for the right causes, and I usually fight to win.

In my spare time, I like to give my self a little bit of "ME" time... shop for a new outfit, get a haircut, facial treatment, spa manicure and pedicure, eat at a nice restaurant, go to the beach, or just chill out. Sometimes I'm by myself; but it's FUN with family or friends. I love to travel. My dream is to someday travel the world. I live on the island of O'ahu, Hawaii. Thus far, I've only been to the neighbor islands of Hawaii, to California, Nevada, Nebraska, Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines. I would love to visit Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Latin and South Americas, Canada, and all of the United States of America.

I'm a simple and down-to-earth person. I don't like to be a show-off or materialistic person. It's better to be true to thyself than to be a fake for others.
