Emilia Hargreaves

Hello hello! My name is Emilia and I’m an actor, writer, producer and director from West London. I’m a final year BA Applied and Contemporary Theatre student at GSA and I’m super excited to have the opportunity to work with a group of like-minded makers!

In my early teens I trained as a classical singer, performing in operas around London before moving to Southend to train at East 15 Acting School. I then spent three years travelling, writing and making short films, before accepting a place here at GSA.

My practice as a creative often stems from my writing, mostly spoken word, poetry or short stories which I record as voice overs. I then collect visual imagery, which I either perform, direct or film myself, before composing a soundtrack and editing together a final piece.

I have performed in a number of plays, operas and short films as well as producing and hosting GSA Labs, a termly scratch night at GSA. I’ve additionally spent the last six months working as a producer for Boundless Theatre in Croydon.

I’d love to be able to put together a company of creatives to produce a meaningful piece of art and hopefully even continue to develop work outside of this project.

My work is bold, fearless and unapologetically honest. I’m eager to collaborate with other writers, directors, filmmakers, videographers, editors and sound designers on a project that fulfils both the project brief and our creative drive.
