With a strong interest in cross-cultural communication and the role of the media, Emilie wishes to pursue a career in international organizations and NGO's dealing with the challenges of globalization in a time of growing development and advancement around the world.
Emilie is currently working on her master thesis "UN and the unrepresented others" at University of Hamburg. She has been working in an international environment on daily basis for almost 2 years, and through specialism studies in Hamburg, she is dealing with the academic as well as practical approach to cross-cultural media studies. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from Aarhus University, Denmark.
During her studies she has done several internships, contributing to her professional understanding of the knowledge and skills she gained from the academical world. She worked for 9 months for a Danish communication company for whom she held talks about the implementation of social capital in business environments. After her bachelors she did an internship in Cape Town, South Africa at a local magazine dealing with the issues and news of the South African society.
