Emilio Pasquale
My family comes from Fontanarosa, a small town about 1 hour east of Naples, Italy. My grandfather was the first to settle in the south-west United States, probably due to the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone. I first picked up a camera to document my passion for the land and the effects of the weather, the way the sun can bleach the color from the earth and the wind can ripple the sand or smooth the rough texture of an old wooden shack. It's a harsh land but there is much beauty here. My wife and I also take weekend day trips searching for other photographic experiences. We call this being "spont" as we never really know where we'll end up or what we'll see. Spontaneous, that us! Most of the time.
