Emily Champion
Knoxville, Tenn.
Emily Champion is a third-year student at The University of Tennessee, studying Kinesiology and minoring in Psychology. In the spring of 2015, she will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and plans to attend optometry school and put her degree to use in a privately owned practice in the future. She is active around campus, and highly involved with the Delta Pi chapter of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
Raised in Hixson, Tennessee, she is the oldest of three siblings, and the daugher of David and Patty Champion. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs, freelance photography, and interior design. She credits her interest in a medical practice to her father, a private-practicing dentist, and her passion for helping people to her mother, a former elementary school teacher.
Emily currently works part-time as an Optometric Technician at a Knoxville-area optometry practice, gaining knowledge and experience with the field every day. She looks forward to the next few years as a student of optomety.
