Emily Speakes

Happily, I am in my final 2 months before I graduate Full Sail University with my bachelors in Entertainment Business with a focus in music. I am from Chicago, IL but reside in Austin, TX. While finishing up my degree I am currently working in a restaurant as a server and pursuing a possible career with SXSW Inc. in their music fest department. Earlier this year I moved to Austin for an intership with their company, which turned into a seasonal staff position that I hope and dream will be resigned for the following season. I am meant and driven to work for a music festival and the experience I was blessed to partake in with SXSW truly showed me that. I have no doubt that whatever company gives me chance I will be happy with. As long as I'm doing what I love, life is good. Until then, when I am not working or devoting all of my time to my degree I am where I feel the most at home, at a concert or outside. When I'm not utilizing the fact that Austin is the music capital of the world I am kyaking, hiking, bike riding or swimming outside in the many natural landscapes this city has to offer.
