About Me:
I am a participatory artist, with over a decade of experience delivering ambitious and inspiring creative projects, events and workshops with and for young people and communities in the North West. I am a passionate and dynamic Creative Project Manager, Drama Practitioner, Facilitator, and Event Producer.
I specialise in leading creative projects that use creativity as a tool for positive, lasting personal and social change, inspiring and empowering young people to share their unique perspectives and experiences through creativity.
I have worked with leading organisations including Lowry, National Theatre, Curious Minds, HOME, and Cultural Democracy to deliver a breadth of creative programmes and workshops, across schools, arts organisations and community settings.
I strive to ensure all my work is values-led, inclusive and accessible so that every individual feels authentically connected and valued.
Current Work:
- Creative Associate - Cultural Democracy, led by Lynsey O’Sullivan. Coordinating the development of a new Creative Place Partnership in Knowsley, connecting cultural organisations with local schools to enhance cultural education opportunities for young people in the borough. Assisted the delivery of a 6 month consultation project across Salford for RHS Bridgewater, informing the development of a new learning and engagement space on their site.
- Speech Bubbles Practitioner - North West Drama - using drama, play & stories to help children aged 5-7 develop confidence, communication and creativity.
- Associate Practitioner, The Knotted Project - delivering theatrical experiences and events with and for young people. Forge Festival (2022-2025), empowering young people in Cumbria to share their stories through theatre. Tales Re-Told (2021-2023), a programme with Blackpool Grand Theatre, engaging hundreds of primary pupils in Blackpool to explore and develop resilience, confidence, and oracy through stories.
Previous Work:
- Speak Up Coordinator - Lowry - overseeing & supporting the National Theatre Speak Up programme across secondary schools in Greater Manchester. Produced two youth-led festival events at Lowry for 15 secondary schools to showcase their creative work.
- Project Manager - Minerva Arts - working with Great Places Housing Knutsford to develop creative consultation to feed into a neighbourhood plan for regeneration.
- Learning & Participation Coordinator at Lowry – coordinated large-scale cultural education & engagement programmes for children & families at Lowry.
- Facilitator & Storyteller - Lowry's Julia and Axel Exhibition. Delivered drama workshops & interactive storytelling sessions to schools & families over 6 months, engaging with over 5,000 2-8 year olds.
