Emily Lewis
Eustis, Florida
Involved in some aspect of art her whole life, Emily has been painting for 10 years. She first was involved in printmaking in college, then worked as a graphic designer in Dayton, Ohio and when she moved to Toledo, she was attracted to traditional quilting, then contemporary quilting and fiber art. Living in both Cincinnati and Mount Dora, Florida, she began doing art festivals as a fiber artist. After taking painting classes for 4 years, she decided to try selling her work at art festivals in Florida and Ohio. Primarily landscape is her subject now. Water, grass and sky abound. This reflects her environment. Rarely does an object or animal become the subject. Emily prefers the viewer to feel that they are part of the scene.
