My name's Emily and this is my blog about my media journey (which makes me sound like an X Factor auditionee, without the tears). I've just secured an apprenticeship at the BBC with my local radio station, so this blog will become a sort of diary and guide to help other people who may be looking to start their career in radio.

A Little More About Me

I've just left college and am an avid Corrie watcher and overall TV fanatic. I'm most excited about my training in Birmingham where all 45 apprentices will be living and working together for two months! Rather similar to the Big Brother house...

The apprenticeship will help me to gain a level 3 qualification in journalism whilst I work as a Broadcast Assistant in my hometown of Manchester.
