Emily A

As a writer, I am like am most like an artist, and each of my writing pieces are like little paintings. I prefer to write creatively and freely rather than writing about research and informational things. Each piece I do must be perfect or else I don't like to show it to anyone or hand it in for school. I go over all of my pieces multiple times and test them out until they are perfectly constructed and I can consider them "masterpieces".
Abstract things are what I am best at, but coming up with ideas on my own is a struggle without tools such as prompts or questions that will make me think. I need help sparking ideas in my head of what to write, just like an artist in need of inspiration for their next painting. I can't be expected to write a quality paper on something something that I have little or no interest in. It's hard for me to write about anything when I don't really care about the topic. Too much forced organization, outline, or direction will restrict me from writing what I really want to say in the way I want to say it.
All I need is an idea and a blank canvas.
