Emily Brown

Hailing from Sonoma County, California, I grew up surrounded by vineyards, apple orchards, old growth redwoods and the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I attended Summerfield Waldorf School and Smith College, where I majored in Theater. Since moving to New York in the Fall of 2011, I have become a member of The Bats, the award-winning resident acting company at The Flea Theater. At The Flea I've performed in the remount of the Drama-Desk nominated These Seven Sicknesses by Sean Graney, and the New York premiere of Restoration Comedy, by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Amy Freed. During the summer of 2012, I played Maria in West Side Story at the Forestburgh Playhouse. In May 2012, I will join the American Shakespeare Center for their Summer & Fall Season at the Blackfriar's Playhouse in Staunton, Virginia. I look forward with excitement to all the possibilities and blessings of the future!
