For me, when it comes to writing, I like to think of myself as a busy beaver. I strive to work hard for what I truly care about. Some pieces that i’m asked to complete for school make me particularly interested, and like a beaver, I’m dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome for myself. My writing can be very personal to me, like a beaver and a dam. If I care enough about it, I will put my heart and soul into the piece so I am completely satisfied with the outcome. However, I can be inconsistent in my work. The pieces that don’t interest me, I don’t try my hardest. That is because the outcome is not as important to me as a dam would be. The outcome is not personal or near to me. I think one would be able to tell as to which pieces I nurture, and which pieces I brush off. This year I hope to expand what interests me when it comes to writing, so I can be more consistent with my work. When it is personal, like a dam, I truly dedicate myself.
