Hello, I am Emily. You can find me jumping into anything agriculture and taking care of my animals. I showed livestock, which included goats, pigs, rabbits, and a dairy heifer. In my career, I have shown 8 pigs, 5 goats, 2 rabbits, and alas, that one dairy heifer.

I enjoy taking care of my livestock and it allows me to focus on my problems and clear my head, although if someone watched me it would look like a chaotic mess and anything but soothing for the soul. Surprisingly, even the dirtiest tasks such as cleaning the stalls could not deter my love for my animals and taking care of them. It taught me responsibility and to have a hard work ethic. If I did not learn hat valuable lesson, I doubt would be where I am today.

Although I miss it, I know that it is never that far away and that showing has helped me find my passion in life and led me to my career choice and even to an extent my lifestyle choice. So as you look at my picture of me showing my pig Hawkeye, know that it was a fundamental part of my life that I would -nor could- ever change and I can not wait til I get the chance to do it again.
