Emily Hedges

Hey! I’m Emily. I’m a teacher living near Nelson, BC. I teach at a alternative multiage school; I have a class of grade 2-6s. I am just returning to work after two years maternity leave. My school is very unique and dear to me. You can learn more about its philosophy at https://wildflower.sd8.bc.ca/about. We aim to teach the "whole child" in thematic ways, and have the students stay with us for the entirety of their elementary schooling. Teaching multiage means that I can't repeat lessons (mostly the same kids each year), need to embrace individualized learning and continuous progress model.
