Emily Hendrix

Education:

I am graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Communication Studies with emphases in Public Relations and Political Communication and a minor in Writing.

Internships:

University Writing Center, Harrisonburg, VA - beginning August 2012

I am presently pursuing an internship as a Marketing and Outreach intern at the writing center at James Madison University. I'm excited to start promoting the Writing Center to fellow Dukes when I return to JMU for the fall semester.

FreedomWorks, Washington DC - May-August 2012

As the media and communications intern at FreedomWorks, I chased up press releases, helped to coordinate events, wrote three issue briefs for use in one of our publications, compiled and produced a sample of our earned media for board review and wrote three blogs.

The Taxpayers' Alliance, London UK - January-April 2012

As a research intern at the TaxPayers' Alliance, I completed all of the background research for one of our major publications, the Town Hall Rich List, and wrote four blogs.
