Emily Innes is an assistant editor for The Chronicle Companies, a producer of medical magazines for healthcare professionals in Canada. She writes articles on a wide variety of specialty medical topics, interviews physicians and researchers the latest advancements in medicine, creatively designs The Chronicle of Neurology + Psychiatry using QuarkXpress and edits freelance writers’ pieces.

Emily is a graduate of Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning's accelerated post-graduate program in Journalism. She also completed a BA (Hons) in Media, Information, and Technoculture; and French from Western University in London, Ont.

Prior to her current role, Emily was a multimedia reporter for The Collingwood Enterprise-Bulletin, a Sun Media community print and online paper. She used a variety of social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Scribblelive, and Thinglink to engage with her readers. She penned pieces on a variety of local issues. One of her pieces earned her the Ontario Community Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Award for Feature Writing circulation over 10,000.
