Hi, I'm a St. Jude Mom. I live in the northern part of Illinois, where the season changes every 3 months. I work part time and my husband (Jerry) is retired. We have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. We also have a dog (Rylan), which is a mix between a Beagle and a English Bulldog, that is my husbands baby. Our daughter, Emily, at the age of 10, was diagnoised with AML was transported down to Memphis,at St. Jude. We were there for 4 months when things went from bad to worse and we came back alone, without her. It was a week before Christmas when we went to St. Jude and 2 weeks after Easter, when she left us. St. Jude will always be in our hearts. They were truely unbelievable during and after our heartache. Life has been hard for us but with the love and guidance of God we have gone past our steepest mountains and heading for our greenest pasture.
