Emily Lierle

Phoenix, Arizona, United States

I'm currently pursuing a journalism degree at Arizona State University. I've been an archaeologist for a week in Colorado, a farmer for two summers in North Dakota and spring of 2015 I did my best to morph into a Parisian... I tend to bring up Elvis Presley in daily conversation, but I'm also passionate about traveling, writing, art and Nutella. If I'm stuck in a "concrete jungle" for too long I get antsy for the outdoors--so I prefer skiing, riding my bike, playing tennis or swimming to staying inside. The two prettiest places I've stood in front of are golden-yellow canola fields in North Dakota and the view from 10,000 feet above the snow-topped Swiss Alps.

I try to follow Elvis's motto: TCB. Takin' care of business. Twenty-four hours in a day aren't enough sometimes, but I try to make the most of them! As the French say, profitez de l'instant présent.
