Emily Munoz
Student, Writer, and Public Speaker in New York City
Emily Muñoz is a dedicated advocate, writer, and student leader committed to advancing racial, gender, and educational equity. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, Emily is majoring in Political Science on the pre-law track with plans to become a civil rights attorney. A winner of the 2024 Princeton Prize in Race Relations Certificate and a 2024 Bank of America Student Leader, she is also a founder of College DemocraShe, an initiative currently in development, and is interning at the NYC Mayor's Office. Her work is grounded in intersectionality, centering the experiences of marginalized communities through storytelling, policy critique, and grassroots organizing.
Emily has been a vocal force in campus advocacy, particularly around issues of institutional accountability, survivor justice, and racial and gender equity. She leads with integrity, using her lived experiences to inform her public writing and mobilization efforts. Whether through published editorials, community organizing, or her leadership in activism, Emily amplifies voices too often overlooked and pushes for systemic change with clarity and courage.
