For as long as I can remember, I have been a quiet person. My communication with others has not come from words, it has come from my body language. Through my experiences, I have learned that being quiet can sometimes be a good thing. I have learned that by using few words, I can command the most respect.

In the fifth grade, my mother allowed me to begin taking horseback riding lessons. Through riding, I learned how to control a fifteen hundred pound beast without uttering a single word. I learned how valuable communication through body movements can be. By learning the value of learning to be quiet, I also learned the value of spoken language. I now know that by choosing your words wisely, you can command the most attention and respect.

Because I learned the value of communication early on, I have also come to find the importance of images in the world around us. Due to my quiet nature, I have found that images truly can speak a thousand words. I love photography and portraying my true self through my images.

Thanks to the people that have been put into my life, I have found to be comfortable in my own quiet nature. I have learned the value of words and I have also found that there are other ways to communicate yourself without uttering a single word.
