Emir Žunić is a PhD in Computer Science and Informatics with over 15 years of experience in the fields of Software Engineering, IT, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, Business Process Management, Document Management and Optimizations.

He currently works as Senior Software Engineer and Project Manager at LANG LASER-System GmbH, one of the world's leading high-tech companies in the field of laser-based technologies.

In the past, he was the Head of AI/ML Department and Board Member at Info Studio d.o.o. Sarajevo, with enormous experience working on 50+ complex and robust systems and applications.

Also, he is the Co-Founder, Board Member and CIO of a successful digital startup, innovative nano learning b2b oriented platform, edu720 d.o.o. Sarajevo, one of the most successful startup company in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Adriatic region.

In the Academic area, he is Assistant Professor at Polytechnic Faculty, University of Zenica. He also has experience in working as a Teaching Assistant/Industry Expert at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo. In the past, he also worked as an Industry Expert at the Sarajevo School of Science and Technology. He has currently published more than 50 scientific papers at prestigious conferences and journals. He is an Editorial Board Member on several scientific conferences and journals.

In addition, Emir has been a speaker at over 20 respectable congresses and conferences around the world (Oracle, Data Science Conference, Western Balkans Digital Summit, FMCG, etc.), noting that he was an invited speaker at one of the largest IT conferences in the world, the 2019 WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin.

His CV is included in Marquis Who’s Who in the World in 2022 as well as Who’s Who in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018.
