Eva-Marie completed her most rigorous formal education in France at the College d’Aromatherapie pour Professions Medicals, PhytoSun Laps and Purdue University, Rutgers New Crop Lab. A practicing Aromatologist (medical + zoo pharmacognosy), Aromatherapist (spa/salon), Aromachologist (psychotherapy), Sensory Designer, Olfactory and Perfume Artist for 29 years, she is the founder of EM [Studios] Arome (2006) – USA + EU (2017). Her fragrances have been celebrated inside an expansive and diverse collection of products, highly visible in marketplace corridors, with celebrated accolades; design and performance awards. Honing her craft she has worked inside every aspect of production of botanical fragrance materials, specialized to raw materials of natural origin, from plant cultivation to extraction, immersing her in travel to global gardens in 25+ countries. This hands on approach to her craft, fused to her intensive multi-layered background sets her clearly apart from other sensory designers and perfumers. She has dedicated herself to environmental, ecological, cultural, and social concerns for wellness, with artistic integrations in a variety of expressional philosophies and artistic expressions as her own specialized inter-relationship with Synesthesia. She has held peer-reviewed positions in organizations such as Demeter USA, IFEAT and board member positions with organizations as Skin Inc. and AHPA, and has worked within all facets of sensory research and development. She has also been a primary educator and program lead (global DE + 5 career college campuses), with a breadth that expands from middle school to University, specialized to learning styles of Waldorf and Montessori disciplines, spearheading accredited curriculum, and is a published Author.
