I am an Activist based in the UK. I lived in a small town in Kent, before moving to Southampton to study a BA Hons degree in Journalism (Writing, Fashion and Culture). During my time studying, my passion for charity work and global issues became stronger. As a result of this, once I finish my degree I have plans to work in the charity sector, either in the field of environmental development or advocacy work (policy and research).

I have previously volunteered annually with Lark in Park, a free community based event which runs during the summer period for families and youths. The event is run by Global Generation Church, my home church. This event has allowed me to meet and work with adults and young people, to learn their stories and to communicate with people that I may not have had the opportunity to connect with in other circumstances.

Emma Watson once wisely asked, ‘If not me, who? If not now,when?’ which is a testament I choose to live by. If I don’t make a difference,who will? I am extremely passionate about working in the charity sector and have a strong appreciation of politics and international relations.

Through writing my dissertation on the ethical and legal issues regarding sex trafficking and prostitution. I have an in-depth knowledge of legislation and policy in this area, and I have the ability to write about these key problems comfortably as an extension of the research I have accumulated.

I not only have passion for human rights and the environment but also animal welfare. I am a vegetarian who is inspired by those who want to make a difference is the world, and those who are willing to make the fundamental changes and improvements to allow this to happen.

I have previous experience in project managing a team. During my time at college I was project manager for an external client, in which we had to create a video of an event ‘Big Weekend’. During this time I also worked with an external client to create a promotional video for Shaw Trust, a charity which supports independent adults with disabilities.
