I teach Language Arts 2 at Alta Vista High School in Kansas City, MO. I just recently move to Kansas City from Denver, where I worked as a Denver Math Fellow, supporting students at Lake International Middle School.

I chose to move to Kansas City, because, having moved around most of my life this is my chosen home. The community, the culture, the food, and the hospitality of the people remind me everyday why I chose to move to this beautiful place.

I live here with my amazing partner Kevin, who is a gifted Graphic Designer, and co-founder of our book design agency, The Frontispiece, which we run together in between busy days working at my first passion of teaching students to love and cherish reading.
