Emma Hunter
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
After many years of traveling and living elsewhere I have finally had a chance to return to my hometown of Toronto to complete a Masters of Teaching degree at OISE. I am so excited to have the oppertunity to study education. I love working with children and learn something new from them every day.
My previous studies in anthropology have influenced my current research project into the incorporation of Aboriginal cultures and knowledges into Toronto classrooms with a focus on issues of identity and appropriation. It is my goal to create a classroom environment where all students feel welcome, included, and confident regardless of their socioeconomic or cultural background, learning style, or ableness.
