Emma Palova, (Konecna) was born in former Czechoslovakia. She is a novelist, short story writer, screenwriter, journalist, and podcast producer of For the Love of Books Podcast.

Palova is the author of Shifting Sands Short Stories collections with books Short Stories, Secrets, and The Lost Town.

Her Greenwich Meridian Memoir is a tribute to the Konecny family's immigration saga from former socialist Czechoslovakia to the USA spanning two generations. The memoir takes place on the backdrop of two major historical events: the 1968 Prague Spring and the 1989 Velvet Revolution.

The memoir is part of the collection at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Iowa.

She has received several awards for community reporting during her journalism stints at the Ionia Sentinel-Standard and The Lowell Ledger. The Associated Press has syndicated her stories.

“I love community reporting and writing human interest stories,” she said.

Palova has successfully parlayed journalism into fiction mastering magic realism in short stories, and historical fiction in The Lost Town.

She is a member of the LowellArts and Fallasburg Historical Society.
