Emma Lowther
Student and journalist in Nottingham
I am a recent graduate of Journalism (BA) at The University of Sussex and I am currently studying with the Channel 4 Investigative Journalism (MA) at De Montfort University.
I have the determination to make a name for myself in this industry and I am a motivated, highly driven and adaptable young woman with strong interpersonal skills. I have a passion for current affairs and an interest in how they can shape the society around us. Most importantly, I have an in-depth knowledge of media law to a BJTC accreditation standard and I can research, write and produce quality reports and video packages for television and the web. I can gather and evaluate information and render it into clear, accurate and engaging news stories for a range of audiences.
Alongside my university work, I also ran my own online platform as well as writing freelance, involving articles for publications such as Grazia Magazine online. I pride myself on having an honest point of view while being as wholeheartedly authentic as possible. I will strive to produce thoroughly researched and accurate content with a good sense of professionalism. I am eager to learn from industry professionals and build on my existing skills.
