My art work comes from issues regarding class, consumerism and culture. The struggles and divides between and within different social circles, fascinates me.
My art has been a constant journey through my growing awareness of social hierarchies within Greater London, my home.
Brought up, and only recently leaving, the nest of the Watling Estate in North West London my work is infused with pluralism and the confusing position I feel I have in the society I live.
We are born into social class without a choice, but as we learn about the world we can decide to go up, down or stay put. This is where my social enterprise The MAD Experience comes in. If I had knowledge, and I mean 'real' knowledge about the 'real' world when I was at school; I might be 2 years ahead of my game now. The MAD Experience educates young people on making the right choices for them. In some cases changing council 'estates' of minds into ones that are of positivity and believing that you can achieve no matter what.
