Emma Green

As a photojournalist, Emma is always looking for the light in her pictures and in life. Her optimism shines through in her bright and colorful Instagram feed, the uplifting stories she posts on Facebook and in the articles she writes for the newspaper. She is an avid coffee drinker, a pun enthusiast and a Wes Anderson movie buff.

Based in Gainesville, Florida, Emma is a journalism junior at the University of Florida and a staff photographer and contributing writer at the largest student-run independent newspaper in the country, The Independent Florida Alligator. She has also held the positions of photo editor for The Alligator and of multimedia adviser for the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce in the summer of 2016.
