Hi! I’m Emma - a musical theatre loving, poetry writing, news obsessed, yogi! I'm currently a student at Ryerson University studying Media Production with the dream of one day working as a Broadcast Journalist. Lisa LaFlamme, I'm comin' for ya!

For me, a typical day means waking up early, and doing some yoga before obsessively filling out my colour-coded planner. I've always been the dorky, overachieving, star of my own life, so the routine suits me well.

Some people say they feel like a secondary character in the movie of their own life - I am not one of those people. I go through life with the inner monologue of JD in Scrubs, the musical numbers of Rebecca Bunch in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and the cartoon-style drama of Scott Pilgrim. I am the weird kid you sat next to in math class who quietly (or not so quietly) hummed show tunes, ran for every school election, and starred in every play, musical, and assembly. You might have hated me, but you probably also passive aggressively voted me "Most Likely to Succeed" in the yearbook superlatives. Rest assured, I am much less obnoxious now - adulthood has toned me down.

These days, you'll find me writing in my journal, working as the Multi-Camera Producer for an awesome music based web-series, producing an exciting mental health and art centred project, and building my demo reel. All a part of my greater plan to one day be on air and fight the fight for true journalistic integrity.
