Eleanor Musarurwa Manske

Maryland

I'm a co-founder of Soko Mushrooms, an agricultural social enterprise that converts agricultural waste to grow specialty mushrooms. I also run an African inspired textile and home goods company, Wanderlust Weaver.

I previously started and ran Sunbird Collection, a sustainable apparel company that worked with traditional textiles and artisans in Bamako, Mali. I was an adviser to Tibatane, a student led fashion brand that empowers micro-entrepreneurs with their design and strategy.

I grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe, in a family of entrepreneurs. Since then I've lived, studied and worked in Miami, Washington, DC, College Park, MD, Bamako and Silver Spring, MD. I love fashion magazines, indie movies, karaoke and coffee. I'm an advocate for sustainable food, fair trade and ethical fashion.
