Emmanuel Ameyaw is a Ghanaian Journalist and Communications Specialist with a strong interest in Climate Adaptation. He develops communications solutions to improve climate awareness in Ghana. He also influences youth climate policy at the national level by engaging key stakeholders and the government of Ghana. Emmanuel works closely with key climate-focused agencies to advance the work of hundreds of young climate activists and youth-led climate organizations in Ghana.
He served as a Business News Anchor and Producer of Spotlight Business on Accra-based MX24 TV. Prior to working with Black Volta Publications (MX24 TV), He served as Deputy Editor, Business Desk at TV Africa. He developed business content while ensuring accurate and comprehensive coverage of all business events for the station.
He also worked as a Senior Producer for the channel's primetime news bulletin - News Hour. He also anchored the daily late afternoon news bulletin- News Beat. Emmanuel worked as Senior Correspondent for Zambian based - MOZO TV. His long-standing passion for journalism has seen him work in different capacities across TV, online and print media. His work also spans across Politics, Business and Environment.
In 2021, he founded Ghana’s foremost climate-focused news portal – The Climate Insight. He was selected by the World Bank/Revolve Media as 2021 Innovate4climate Media Fellow. He is also a 2021 Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC) Fellow and 2023 Clean Air Reporting Fellow. He is also a member of Hostwriter, the Oxford Climate Journalism Network and Earth Journalism Network.
He served as a Communications Specialist for Care About Climate and the Youth Climate Council Ghana. He is a member of the UNFCCC youth constituency - YOUNGO Communications Working Group.
An alumnus of the London School of Journalism and African University College of Communications. Emmanuel Ameyaw also received journalism training from the Thomson Foundation, British Council, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.
