This book is an auto-biography about his experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago. He wrote this book for three reasons: one reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America.

Another reason why he wrote this book is to promote his virtual Christian organization “GRCAM” the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement and his future Christian business “GRCAI” the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute. In his book Emmanuel provides a 21st century plan on how his Christian business will help eradicate urban violence in the city of Chicago while meeting the social needs of the communities and families they will serve.

GRCAI will have a nonprofit sector and also a for profit sector. It will also have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component. Our focus is on providing goods and services to the low income African American community and working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve.

Finally, Emmanuel wrote his book in order to generate capital/seed money so that he can recruit and hire qualified individuals to assist him in the daily operation of his business. Emmanuel wants to make Chicago a model first before he expand his business to 10 other cities within within the Midwest. Emmanuel also plan on having African Immigrants in America to assist him in setting up chapters in 10 countries on the African continent.

GRCAI will be membership based and private in order for us to weed out people who don’t care about our inner-city youth, their families, or the black community. No harden criminals, No active gang members, No urban terrorist, No pedofiles, and no half steppers allowed. We will only serve families that want to utilize our programs and services. Everyone will be screen and must attend our mandatory orientation and sign the community pledge no exceptions. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will display the best of black culture through our programs/services, message of faith, and personal responsibility. His organization is open to all law-abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is Emmanuel Barbee contribution back to his community, society, and throughout the African Diaspora.
