I do not see myself as an interesting person. With that being said, it baffles me that I have been able to create such an interesting life for myself by finding the best of friends and experiences to add to it in the past year and a half. Maybe this fun, eclectic life is due to new found confidence or my kind attitude towards others. It is NOT caring about what other people think of me. My blatant disregard for opinions about how I live my life was not handed to me in the slightest. It took years of self-conscious behaviors for me to understand that people are shallow and what you do does not concern them. This has not necessarily shaped my personality, but given me a reason to express it fully without fear of judgement. I have also realized that I have the power to control how I treat others and how much less effort is involved in being nice and considerate. I enjoy advertising my way of life because it creates trust. I make myself completely transparent so that no one has to guess who I actually am. My reason for mentioning this aspect of myself is to make a statement not only about me, but my work. Everything I create and embody is me and only me. I do not put up a mask and I want to show that in my writing.
